Question on higher education exports from Catherine West MP

Catherine West MP (Labour) asked the Secretary of State for Education, what estimate his Department has made of the financial value of higher education as an export in each of the last five years.

Answered on 7 February 2018 by Sam Gyimah, Minister of State for Universities: 

The table below shows the estimated total value of UK education-related exports and transnational education activity for the last five years with available data. Estimates for 2015 will be published in February 2018.
